New Household Rubbish Bin Service for West Auckland Residents

The new pay-as-you-throw rubbish bin service will start from Monday, 2 October 2017 for West Auckland residents. To check if your house is included, please go to http://www.makethemostofwaste.co.nz/north-west-bin-service/payt-included-properties/ for more information.

From Monday, 2 October 2017, a prepaid bin tag will be needed to attach to the left handle of the rubbish bin and make it visible for the collectors. However, the collection days stay the same.  

Standard prepaid bin tags cost $3.80 per bin tag while larger bin tags (for 240L rubbish bin) will cost $5.50 per bin tag. You can buy those bin tags at different places: the supermarket checkout, dairies, petrol stations, Auckland Council service centres, libraries and the Waitakere Transfer Station from Friday, 15 September 2017.
